I love the concept of GIRLBOSS. And not accidentally I am a big Sofia Amoruso fan 😉
What I did not know is that there is a very sharp and precise definition of it. According to Urban Dictionary, a girlboss is A woman in control, taking charge of her own circumstances in work & life. Someone who knows her worth and won’t accept anything less. She is not a “mean girl” in fact, she hates “mean girls.” She is empowering and inspiring to those around her. She kicks ass!
From curators to critics, writers to content strategists, these are the creatives you should be following on Instagram to keep yourself motivated and inspired. Daily.
JiaJia Fei
@vajiajia

I shall start with my ultimate art crush: JiaJia Fei.
She is the Director of Digital at the Jewish Museum in New York and you can count on her for a solid dose of art and fashion inspiration in equal measure. Her Instagram grid is basically flawless, and so are her looks. Follow her to discover amazing art and artists, as well as how she is changing the way people consume art in the digital era.
Aindrea Emelife
@aindreae

Aindrea Emelife describes herself as an “Art Babe”. She’s a twenty-two-year-old art critic, independent curator and presenter from London. After graduating from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, she has now gone on to become a groundbreaking new voice in an art world otherwise steeped in tradition.
Holly Howe
@hollytorious

Funny, witty, and engaged. Holly Howe is a strategic communications consultant, with a particular focus on the arts. You can find her at every art events that counts, or giving talks and chairing panel discussions at places like Soho House.
If you have not already been to the Venice Biennale, you should definitely read her latest article How to Tackle the Venice Biennale.
Willa Köerner
@willak

She absolutely cracks me up! Meet Willa Köerner, Director of Curation and Content at Kickstarter, and another arts-focused content strategist and writer putting the internet to work for creative culture. In her profile, you’ll find not only art-inspos but plenty of other ideas for trips as well as a peak into her private life.
Danielle Krysa
@thejealouscurator

I came across The Jealous Curator’s profile a few years ago, and since then I’ve religiously followed Danielle, who’s been up to remarkable stuff. Quite a lot of stuff. She is an artist herself, and a curator and she runs this über-successful Instagram account, which now counts 134’000 followers.
The thing I like the most about Danielle is that she is fierce and unapologetic, not afraid to look at the impasses in her earlier life and career, and to share her experiences with others. She had me at her TEDxBrentwoodCollegeSchool talk, where she explains how ‘your inner critic is a jerk’. Simply inspirational — and not only for artists.
Happy week my dears!
