Ciao Art-gorgeous!
This April I will spend the next 10 days on the beautiful islands of Bali (with a tiny diversion in Lombok), Indonesia. Oh well… One week is already gone and I am amazed how much diversity and contradictions this place has.
After an accurate week of body-prepping with a bespoken Sicilian diet of 10 million calories a day, I arrived on Bali seven days ago truly bikini-ready! 😝 On top of that, I am the withest thing walking the street of the island at the moment… And perhaps the only human who is not using a car or a motorbike.
Term 3 at Christie’s Education will start on Monday, so I am making sure I get the rest and focus I need to begin the last part of my master with the right foot and fully energised.
After hectic Semyniak, spiritual Ubud and crazy-party-island Gili T, I have eventually found my happy place in Canggu: a little boutique hotel immersed in the rice fields not far from the beach. Here I am going to bed with the chants of the crickets and waking up with an early yoga class, followed by surf classes. It is easy to find real healthy food in Canggu, which is somethings I truly love after a week of fried rice and noodles.
So stay tuned for some awesome art reports in the next weeks and forward… I will try to have my dissertation not interfering too much with the blogging. Term 2 was harder than actually expected and I missed writing for the blog, so I have all the good intentions to make it work during the upcoming term! 🙂
